ABOUT US

Dorian L. Spratley - President

  • Dorian is a proud father of 4 amazing children and a husband. A dedicated a loving family man who has worked for the Chicago Transit Authority for 23 years. Dorian always believed in our Lord and Savior and being a hard worker. Dorian along with Vice-President Anthony Pierce saw the need for community involvement and after discussing it Bold Legacy Foundation, NFP was born. Dorian’s motto is “No matter what, if you put your mind to it you can achieve it.”

Anthony T. Pierce - Vice-President

  • Anthony is a Chicago native and is a proud husband, father, brother, and a graduate of Chicago Public Schools.  As a young man who came from a one parent household, he experienced firsthand how bad decisions & wrong influences could have altered his life. “My mom almost lost me to the streets of Chicago due to peer pressure, no mentorship, and no black positive men around.” However, with his strong religious upbringing Anthony strived to impact others in a positive way. He was given the opportunity to impact the youth of Chicago, starting out with After School Matter Programs then transitioning into the sports world. He was given a chance to let kids showcase their skills and talents through AAU basketball, in exchange for a scholarship, life coping skills and learning how to build relationships. Now, having two young sons his heart and mindset knew that we needed to take our families and young people back from the streets, drugs, and violence. He was immensely proud to team up with Dorian and through conversations, both agreed to merge their annual events. They shared some of the same views pertaining to communities and what needed to be implemented, and agreed our mission is to Impact, Inform and Transform through investing into the future leaders of today which is our youth. By implementing positive atmospheres one community at a time is why Bold Legacy Foundation, NFP now exists.

On a personal basis family is at the top of her list. Karen is a loving sister and doting auntie to her nieces and nephews. She is an avid traveler, line dancer, and has a passion for event planning. That passion came from helping her mother who loved catering for church and private events. That passion led her to be a co-founder of Flossy Posse Events.

Lynnette M. Spratley - Administrative Manager

  • “If not now…when?” is a quote that has been motivating Chicago native Lynnette Spratley to not just chase her dreams but to set them on fire! Leading the pack of 3 siblings to raising 4 children of her own to being a devoted grandmother of 18, this determined lady is not afraid of a challenge and learned to push through despite obstacles early on. Her faith and family bonds motivated her to excel in school and attend Chicago State University in her later adulthood majoring in Early Childhood Education. As if family and career were not enough to occupy her time, “Lynn” always made time to explore her hobbies and invest in her passions. An avid reader, lover of music, journaling, traveling, and DIY projects have proven to make her a jack of all trades; but she was determined be a master of one of these passions. She loved her DIY projects so much that it gained attention from family and friends. After much prayer and meditation, she decided to step out on faith and acquire certification from the New York Institute of Art & Design for Event Planning. In 2022, after 35 + years of dedicated employment in various capacities, retirement is now allowing her to dedicate her time, energy and creativity to those things that are closest to her heart… her grandchildren, her church, co-founder of Flossy Posse (family operated Event Planning Company) and most recently as a Board Member (Secretary) of the Bold Legacy Foundation, NFP. “Lynn” is a firm believer in going for your dreams and stands behind her life scripture found in Philippians 4:13 “I Can Do All Things Through Christ That Strengthens Me.”
